Have you ever thought about adding an RSS feed (XML file) into the HTML generator.
It should be fairly easy to do, since XML is just HTML with different elements.
Related question: Can we add files to be "generated".. and if so, how. You know where I'm going with this. |

No, I don't know where you are going with it and probably don't want to know
Yes, you can add additional html files to be generated by adding html templates to the /etc/wview/html directory and listing them in the html-templates.conf file - easy as can be.
You can also add new image generators by adding the source code in images-user.[ch] and listing them in images-user.conf.
Hmm, I guess wview isn't quite as rigid as you thought
RSS feed I have not considered - it is now listed in the right place for future consideration... |

excellent thank you for that. I have a web-guru buddy who is really interested in creating some flash based "clients"... an XML file would make that pretty easy. I'll see what i can do.
I don't think wview is rigid at all.. quite the opposite in fact... just look at the website I've created out of it so far...
... except for that darned inability to distinguish between rain clicks. |
