|

When I tried to change the units used for the metric rain dials in the images-metric.conf file nothing seems to happen. It continues to use cm no matter what I have for units in the images-metric.conf file.
I've changed the barometer from mb to hPa and it works fine.
Any ideas? |

I did a quick survey of the code involved and nothing looks out of the ordinary. Post your images-metric.conf and let's have a look see... |

10-4
here are the changed bar charts that work...
Code: |
################# B A R C H A R T S #################
# Filename Label Units DP FNIndex
#--------------------- ------------------------------ ---------- -- -------
rainday.png "Rain/hour" mm 0 33
rainmonth.png "Rain/day" mm 0 34
rainyear.png "Rain/week" mm 0 35
|
and the ones that do not.
Code: |
################# V P P L U S D I A L S #################
# Filename Label Units DP FNIndex
#--------------------- ------------------------------ ---------- -- -------
netRainDay.png "Precip Day" mm 0 112
netRainMonth.png "Precip Month" mm 0 113
netRainYear.png "Precip Year" mm 0 114

noticed a couple other interesting things today (a dry day for a change). These might be related to changing the metric converter, so might be something to watch when Jeremy finishes his modifications.
#1: When 24hr graph was all zeros it suddenly showed bars solid across going up and out of the graph...
#2: There was a trace of rain here at around 14:00 (0.25mm) however, the rain storm didn't start counting until 17:00 when the rain really begin.
Might be nothing but might be indicators of a bug hiding somewhere...
cheers. Chris |

Unless the trace of rain fell at a rainrate of 0.05"/hour or greater, it does not trigger the storm start. The start time is based on rain rate, since a slow drizzle is not really a storm...
I know, you want to configure that too. I have already anticipated that...

I need more details concerning when this happened - when was the 24 hour graph all zeros? Which graph? Other details...

That's what I thought was likely the case. And thank you for making it configurable... the more options the merrier.

Details:
The graph was all zeros between when it was showing ranges between 11PM - 11AM ... and 5AM-5PM (so between 11AM and 5PM realtime)
It was the rainday.png graph (that you see on my index and 24hr pages).
The bars went completely off-scale.
The modifications I have made are:
* 10 on the Farenheit-Celsius conveter
replaced cm with mm in the images-metric.conf file for that bargraph |
