Heyo,
I just updated from 1.8.x to 3.1.0 and now my barometer readings to CWOP seem to be off the chart: http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/wxpage.cgi?call=CW4149&radar=***&last=24
Any ideas?
Wunderground's barometer doesn't seem to have dropped off the charts, just CWOP.
Thanks. |

Hey,
Yes sir, I do know about this, as should you The last entry in the ChangeLog for this release describes in detail that wview will now report station pressure to CWOP instead of sea level pressure. This is what CWOP really wants from us and they have been notified that wview will be reporting station pressure from now on. We may get "bad data" emails for a few weeks, but they will eventually sync up with us...
You should have seen a significant drop in mb - mine was ~ 30 mb. ... I just looked at your site and since your elevation is 20 feet, there should not have been that drastic of a change... Do me a favor and add the new !--stationPressure-- HTML tag somewhere on your homepage so I can look at the value computed.
Thanks,
Mark |

Hmm, well, I read that in the Changelog, what I wasn't expecting was such large swings of pressure after the first hour of reporting.
I started out high, expected a drop (but not all the way down to 190ish) and now it's back up to around 1755mb. Mind you, my station is only about 30ft above sea level.
I suppose I wasn't expecting such large swings as things sort out. |

Thanks a bunch, Mark, for that fast endian fix.
CWOP is reporting a much more plausible 1011.8mb for a pressure
Thanks again. |

That's Big Endian, as in Macintosh for those who don't recognize "endian".
Sorry I forgot about you PowerPC guys once again while adding code. I try not to, but it invariably bites me every so often.
Thanks for reporting it.
