Heyo,

I just updated to 1.8.1, everything almost works fine. Images update fine, but htmlgend fails as follows:

Code:

I tried to revert back to 1.7.1/radlib2.2.4 and htmlgend still wouldn't work there either. Suggestions?

Sounds like something is corrupted in your system, perhaps your hard drive has some corrupt sectors or something. Given that you were running fine on 1.7.1 before, and you had some kind of power outage or lightning strike (you were offline for some time), it seems like a plausible explanation.

Short of that, since you have customized quite a few things, including your own cloud base bucket, I would save off your custom changes and start with a fresh install including using make install-env to get the default config files and run environment. You could add back your customizations once you get the base system running. This would also help you to identify what custom htx file or config file has been corrupted, if that is the problem.

Move offline (out of the way) your /etc/wview and /var/wview directories before doing the clean install by renaming them to /etc/wview-save and /var/wview-save or somesuch...

I would definitely use version 1.8.1. Many of us are using it with no problems, it isn't an issue with that version and it has several features and bug fixes you should upgrade to get.

Looking further at your website, I notice that your cumulus base bucket image is not generated when it appears the rest of the images are at startup before the crash. Can you post your images.conf and images-user.conf files? It looks like it crashes on some image generation, not the html file generation.

Also, have you tried a clean install?

I'm in the process now of doing a clean install. I'll post back when I know something. Appearently, one of my brownout/powerfailures (bad UPS) did some damage to my hard drive. While I was fixing that, I went ahead and upgraded my OS to the latest, so bear with me for a bit longer Smile

Ok, it's working now, time to recustomize. Thanks for pointing out that my drive might have problems Smile

Turns out in addition to my drive problems, it was also my custom cloud base graphic. No idea why tho. ::shrugs::

1.8.1 now includes an HTML tag for cumulus base, and is part of the default table view on the homepage templates (as well as air density). Not sure why your custom bucket is causing problems, wview is certainly designed to allow you to do such things... If you really want to keep that ugly bucket Wink , you can send me your source code for it and how it is invoked as well as the images-user.conf and I will take a quick look at it.

Also, you could add your inside temp display to the homepage table as well if you want.

Ok, I added the AD and cumulus base to the table view. I just had the bucket in place because you hadn't gotten around to adding the tag. Smile Also, um, how do I say this...ummm...'oops' comes to mind... I failed to include the source code in my 1.8.1 build, so I'm sure that's the reason it was failing under the 1.8.1 build.

And for the last time, no, I don't want to but my indoor temp in the table Razz I like it where it is Smile I can find it faster when my A/C fails where it is Smile

I'm not sure I understand how you could build 1.8.1 without the source code...

OK, OK, OK, you had never acknowledged you knew how to add it to the table and didn't want to - geez! Just trying to help Smile

Automagicly, silly. Smile
I meant, I had not added in my source code for the cumulus bucket generation, which is different from the code you created.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were complaining because I had it unlabeled in the tagline at the bottom of the page. Smile
