I get a new one of these everyday and it ends up in my main weather station html directory. Is there an option to configure these files to be placed in a sub-directory? |

Nope.
These are the daily archive record browsing files. You can configure to limit how many days are kept or disable it totally via the wviewconfig script.
Is there a problem with them being in your site html directory? |

It's just messy. I've got it set to keep all the daily files.
Is there any reason why I couldn't just sweep them into a sub-directory every week or so?
Thanks. |

The java code used in the drop down menus expects them to be there in the html template.
"Messy" != "Trouble" IMHO...
But a bajillion image files in there doesn't bother you? Hmmm...
That shouldn't be a directory you visit in the normal course of life anyway, except through a web browser which "hides" the "mess". |
