Mark,
I just finished loading 1.7.7 and everything seems to start on its own no prob now. The only thing is when Fedora is booting wview reports starting daemons and then the red faild shows up again. I will monitor things and see how it goes.
Thanks,
Steve

It is probably because the correct return code is not being returned from the script - not a big deal, I'll try to look at it if I get a chance. But if the daemons are starting properly, that is what is important.
You need to:
Copy *.jpg from /var/wview/img to wherever your web site directory is so you get the nice clouds background, or use a different template for your homepage to get a different background. The templates are named index-*.htx in the /etc/wview/html directory and you can just rename the one you want to use to index.htx.
Find a link for your local radar and replace the link for my (DFW) radar link in the index.htx template file you choose to use. It will look like:
Code: |
<tr>
<td width="100%" align="center">
<br>
<a href="http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/images/DS.p19r0/SI.kfws/latest.gif">
<img src="http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/images/DS.p19r0/SI.kfws/latest.gif"
border="1" height="240" width="280" alt="NEXRAD">
</a>
</td>
</tr>
|
Just replace the http references with the ones for your local radar...
It looks like you fixed your problem with spaces from your earlier attempt to edit the index.htx file, it looks good now (except for the lack of a background).
If you have any other problems, please start a new Topic so we make it easy for folks in the future that may have a similar problem to find the proper topic.
