After been running wview for several months, the program now will not start. I get:
wviewsqld[4599]: <1610937357> : wview daemon lock file /var/wview/wviewd.pid does not exist - aborting!
htmlgend[4600]: <1610937396> : system init failed!
[root@localhost jjk]#
Disabling wvsqld makes no difference. Neither does creating wviewd.pid by hand:
[root@localhost jjk]# /etc/init.d/wview start
Starting wview daemons:
wviewd pid file /var/wview/wviewd.pid exists - killing existing process
/etc/init.d/wview: line 63: kill: (4534) - No such process
wviewsqld[4599]: <1610937357> : wview daemon lock file /var/wview/wviewd.pid does not exist - aborting!
htmlgend[4600]: <1610937396> : system init failed!
[root@localhost jjk]#

Hi Jens
Did you manage to get this fixed?

Yes - as noone came to help, I had to work it out.
var/log/messages showed me that wview never started - the problem was, that my startup script for some reason had changed status to be non-exe. After this was fixed, everything worked again.
By the way, I am now running ambientweather in wmvare server on the same pc - it seems to work - _________________ jensjk.dk, Greenland |
