I just happened to notice that the year rain total got set back to 0. That is, what <!--totalRain--> prints out in the web page. Also, <!--yeartodatemaxrainratedate--> says 02/01/2006. All of the other yearly values, as far as I know, are correct. (They do have January dates.) I have had no rain this month so far. (That will change tonight.)

All my graphs have rain data on them, and my NOAA reports do as well. My data starts 1/16/2006. Yearly rain totals were correct the last day of January.

STATION_RAIN_SEASON_START=1
<!--rainSeasonStart--> prints JAN.
Version 3.1.0

What could be going on here?

You need to upgrade to the Latest Stable.

If you are still having problems after that, let me know.

Thanks,
Mark

And sorry, I somehow missed this new post for a few days or I would have responded sooner.

Yay, 3.1.3 fixed the yearly totals, thanks! I can't verify that the rain rates were fixed as well because it rained like crazy yesterday and broke the rather short lived record. But I would imagine they would be fixed as well.

I've been running 3.1.3 and recently upgraded to 3.1.4. Neither picks up the
rain total for the year programmed using vpconfig. I've looked at the code a
bit, but haven't found where this number is read from the console.

Is this number read from the console, or is there another method for updating
it?

Other than this, wview is running very well. I'm quite impressed.

There currently is no way to set the year-to-date rain for wview. It is computed from the archive records and current conditions. Since I abstracted the station interface, wview no longer uses the VP HILOW packet at all - which is where the yearly rain is reported from the VP console. Guess I need to update vpconfig and take setting the rain start month and yearly rain and ET out of it.

It is certainly worth having, as well as the ability to set the year-to-date ET. One of us needs to put this on the Wish List Wink

Thanks,
Mark

Shoo, quick reply! I'll go ahead and add a topic to the wish list forum.

Thanks -

Mark
