My Wish list for this program is to show on the website the 24 hour tempertuare change and the 3 hour pressure change. But even more so is the ability to upload hourly observations to coolwx.com. Here is some information that may help you create that option... AutoOb v1.30 Sends hourly observations to coolwx.com (Internet User Weather Observations), the script is at http://arlingtonweather.net/hobbyist.shtml, just requires I think formating your data that you send to CWOP and stuff to a different server and format. dont worry about this guys incorporation of lightning data, but would be neat if wview could go out and get the sky condition, etc like this script does for the local airport and then add in your data. |

Please see the Alamanac page of any wview site:
1 hour, 1 day and 1 week change values for temp, humidity, dewpoint, wind speed and direction, etc. It's there already...
Notice the "+" or "-" in the depiction of Barometric Pressure? That is a four hour trend indicator...
I'll take a look at the coolwx.com stuff in the future, first I've heard of it and first request I have had for it.

Thank you Mark for personally answering my questions. I apologized I noticed the 24 hour (daily) values after I posted that message... But I do question why you choose a 4 hour change in pressure, vs the NWS standard 3 hour as defined by:
Pressure Tendency
The character and amount of atmospheric pressure change during a specified period of time, usually 3-hour period preceding an observation.
But as far as Coolwx.com, its a site that has been around for about 10 years, just never offered automated stations to report in, but people have written scripts to take there observations and automate them in, and since you can usually only address one software to work with the weather station, this would be something that I would like to see, the site archives your observations you can view them on a map with NWS symbols. I always manually submitted reports, but unless you can do it often you never really develop the long term charting that you can see |
